Bo Svenson teaches Shakespeare, Audition Preparation, Vocal Production, Accent Reduction, Public Speaking, Performance Anxiety, Directing, Screenwriting, Career Coaching in Pacific Palisades, CA and online. Bo thrives on being of use to others with what he knows — and is looking forward to teaching you writing, acting, and the criteria for success in Hollywood and the international film industries. He has held workshops all over the world, including in Tokyo, Vancouver, Stockholm, Berlin, Toronto, Seattle, Rome, Prague, Belgrade, at the Strasberg Institute in Hollywood, and at China’s Golden Panda Film Festival. Bo has had starring and lead roles in over one hundred motion pictures, including the cult classics “Momma’s Boy” and “Walking Tall”; “Heartbreak Ridge” with Clint Eastwood; and Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” and “Inglourious Basterds.” He headlined the television series “Walking Tall” for NBC. Bo has written, produced and/or directed films with Oscar-winners Dennis Hopper, Kris Kristofferson and Mickey Rooney, as well as many other fine performers — and directed television with David Carradine for Warner Bros.; and his screenplays have won Best Screenplay at over thirty film festivals, including Cannes, London, Berlin, New York, Moscow, Los Angeles, Dubai and Toronto. Bo was born in Sweden, he emigrated by himself to the US when he was 17 and joined the US Marines. Following his honorable discharge after six years of service, he was working on a Ph.D. in Metaphysics and paying the rent with acting work when he was selected to replace Paul Newman and co-star with Robert Redford in “The Great Waldo Pepper” — and the rest is Hollywood History. Bo was Chairman of Motion Picture Group of America from 1985-2005, CEO of MagicQuest Entertainment from 1975-present, and CEO of CanAm Film Corp. from 1991-present.
