Joy Jacobson teaches acting and presentation/public speaking skills in Los Angeles (Conejo Valley), Atlanta, GA, Wilmington, NC, New Orleans and online. Specializations include commercial technique, camera technique, scene study, monologues, audition coaching, self-taping, mindset coaching, career coaching, classical theatre technique, Shakespeare, comedy, improvisation and executive coaching. She loves working with all ages. Joy has been in over 40 film and TV productions, including recent hits, such as “Lessons in Chemistry” with Brie Larson and “Instant Family” with Mark Wahlberg. She holds an MFA from CalArts where she taught undergraduates. Another area of her expertise is executive coaching, specifically guiding her clients in their presentation skills, so their unique personality comes through with clarity and charisma. She can help entrepreneurs, executives, writers and others with public speaking, social media, corporate promo videos, pitch projects, meeting presentations and more… Joy also holds a life coaching certificate and often integrates mindset work in her coaching. Fun facts: She rode her bicycle cross-country one summer, spent a year in India working on grassroots development projects, and is the proud mom to boy girl twins who are now teenagers!
